In a world run by physics, the idea that awareness is something that isn't just found in living things might seem strange. Still, new studies in astronomy, neuroscience, and quantum physics show that this idea is scientifically plausible. Some new discoveries, like integrated information theory's measurement of consciousness as a function of information integration and quantum entanglement's strange non-local connectivity, suggest that reality itself may have a basic level of awareness built in.
